Makko is a natural wood binder that has been used in incense for thousands of years. It comes from the bark of the Tabu no ki tree (Machilus thunbergii) and its purpose is to act like a glue and bind all your incense ingredients together. It is also a terrific burning material which increases the burnability and prevents incense from going out.
This Makko powder is my personal blend of Tabu no ki and a couple other natural ingredients. It is what I use in all my incense blends to create a smooth, stretchy incense dough.
It comes in plastic free packaging and is 100% natural.
